It took me far too long to realize the importance of a solid morning routine, but I am certainly glad I finally did.
Before I brush my teeth.
Before I eat breakfast.
Before I take my daughter to school (or get her ready for online classes).
Before I check my emails.
But obviously after I potty, I do these 5 rituals:
Gratitude: I say 5 things I am grateful for while holding my hand to my heart. You can say these things out loud or to yourself, whichever you prefer.
Affirmations: I say my positive daily affirmations out loud while looking at myself in the mirror. To say them, hear them, and see myself definitely helps raise my vibrations.
Meditation: I do 15 minutes of stillness and silence along with my breath-work. I quite the noise and bring my attention inward.
Stretch: I take anywhere from 10-30 minutes for this. I really stretch. It’s important to get your body moving and your blood flowing, get that energy going.
Journal: I practice intentional journaling. I review the previous day, wins and losses, as well as my intentions for the day ahead.

These five simple things have drastically transformed my days and my mindset. I’m able to better deal with things as they come and from a more mindful place. I feel more relaxed, more balanced.
After I drop off my daughter or get her situated with her classes; I also read for about 30 minutes while enjoying my morning tea. I do enjoy non-fiction books, but this time is specifically reserved for personal development. Then I hit the gym for my morning workout or get in a little yoga flow/at home workout if they are closed.
