Make It Monday-Lego Crayons

0

My son recently turned 6 years old. He wanted a Ninjago Lego party to celebrate his birthday. There are a ton of great ideas for this birthday theme. The toughest part for me to decide is what to put in the goodie bags for the guests. I try to make it fun but not too expensive, especially when there are 11 guests. One idea I came up with was Lego crayons. I ordered silicone molds on Amazon for under $10.

Here are the other supplies you need to make the Lego crayons

-silicone molds

-old/broken crayons

-an oven

Begin by breaking all the old/broken crayons to fit in the molds. You will really need to pile the crayons in the molds fairly high (about 3 crayons/Lego old and 1 crayon/Lego figure).

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the molds on a cookie sheet for easy removal from the oven. Place the molds with the crayons in the oven until crayons have melted, about 10 min.

Take the molds out of the oven and let cool completely. Finally pop the newly molded crayons out of the molds and enjoy.

*Do not use the molds for food one you have cooked the crayon wax in the molds. You can however use them to make soap or more crayons.
