The Chandler SCHEELS Ferris Wheel and other attractions for families This weekend is the grand opening of Chandler SCHEELS and we’re sharing more about the store now that we’ve experienced it firsthand at a sneak peek.

There’s a lot of buzz about what attractions are inside, like the Ferris wheel, Wildlife Mountain, a 16,000-gallon aquarium, rollerball, Fuzzwig’s Candy Shop, arcade games and sport simulators, and Ginna’s Cafe and Coffee Shop, but if you still don’t really ‘get’ what SCHEELS is, keep reading!

We asked our readers what they still wanted to know about and in today’s blog post, we’re sharing all those specific details you’re looking for!

See you at SCHEELS

Chandler SCHEELS attractions

The list goes on and on and on–I was told during our tour the average family spends three hours in store, and I can easily see how that time adds up quickly!

We’ve broken down a few picks for different ages and stages of kiddos, but here’s a comprehensive list of all the kid-pleasing attractions in one place as well!

For younger kiddos, here’s our top attraction picks:chandler scheels attractions
  • Playland: Complete with a toddler area (for kids 3 and under), this play area is a fun way for the kids to burn off energy! It’s like a play place in quick service dining restaurants–slides, multiple levels for kids to climb up, and best of all, it’s enclosed so kids can be noisy and get their wiggles out!
  • Wildlife Mountain: Featuring a variety of different mounts of animals, reptiles, and birds, this is wow-worthy for kids and caregivers. Adults will be able to use their smartphone to pull up fun facts about the animals to share with their kids as they spot all the different wildlife.
  • Fish tank: Kids (and adults) will be wowed by the 16,000-gallon aquarium. This saltwater aquarium is home to a wide variety of different fish and will be cared for by a professional scuba diving team.
For older elementary school aged kids and tweens, here’s our top attraction picks:
  • Roller ball: Chandler SCHEELS  has a two-lane rollerball area (like a mini bowling alley) for families to play. And nope, no bowling shoes required.chandler scheels attractions
  • Ferris wheel: Families can take a ride in one of the 12 cars for a bird’s-eye-view of the entire store for just $1/rider (that’s a quarter of the cost of the double decker carousel at Superstition Springs Center!).
  • Shooting range: Show off your marksmanship, or challenge a friend at our shooting gallery. A fun game for hunters, shooters, or anyone with a competitive spirit, try your hand at hitting targets near and far. This classic game is a fun competition for all.

Ginna’s Cafe inside Chandler SCHEELS

For coffee, they’re brewing exclusive coffee blends only available at SCHEELS, plus they offer specialty coffee drinks as well.

Their restaurant is known for being incredible (seriously, just look at Yelp reviews from their other stores, people love Ginna’s Cafe food).

Also, Ginna’s Cafe menu prices are known for getting families more bang for their buck; we think you’ll be impressed with the affordable prices for this incredible food.

Save room for dessert: they have so many amazing treats, from rich and creamy cheesecakes to decadent chocolate brownies, giant cookies and so much more.

Youth Shop at Chandler SCHEELS

From comfort and style to loungewear and athleticwear, their kid’s clothing selections will keep your kids comfortable and happy all year long.  They have a large selection of footwear to boot and their Experts will help you navigate your kids growing feet, to make sure they’re wearing the right size!

So not only can you get day clothes and footwear, in addition to sporting gear, the Chandler SCHEELS toy shop is incredible as well (talk about one-stop holiday shopping).

I was personally impressed with their LEGO shop–it’s the largest selection I’ve ever seen, but they also have so many other toys. We’ll absolutely be doing holiday shopping here.

But more on their sporting gear for kids: If you’re unsure about gear your kiddo needs for a new-to-you sport, their team of experts offers personalized advice for every sport.
