These refreshing mocktails will be the highlight of any get together. These non-alcoholic drinks are the perfect way for pregnant mom to indulge!
One of the things that is a bummer about being pregnant is missing out on all the yummy drinks. Can we all agree that mom’s night out is not the same without a fancy beverage in hand? While I love being pregnant, drinking only water gets boring pretty quick, especially when you are on a much needed break from your toddler and just want some girl time!
Well ladies, I am here to bring you an amazing list of fresh mocktails that you can enjoy while hanging with the girls, at a party or just relaxing at home. As the temperatures start to heat up, there is nothing better than sipping on an ice-cold, refreshing drink! Many of these are great for get togethers, but I’ve included a few that would be easy to order when you are out at dinner or happy hour with friends.
My number one tip to beating the beverage boredom while pregnant is to use a fancy glass to drink out of. Pour that lemonade into a martini glass, kombucha into a wine glass and sip on that OJ from a champagne flute. It will automatically make you feel a little more pampered — and I always like to think that a splash of sparkling water can take a ordinary drink up a few notches.
Booze-Free Beverages While at the Bar
If you’re at a well stocked bar you have lots of juice options, soda, sparkling water plus things like lemons, limes, cucumber and mint. Don’t be shy about asking the bartender to mix up something custom for you to sip on! Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Virgin Tom Collins- This is essentially fresh squeezed lemon juice, sugar syrup and carbonated water..kind of like a fancy lemonade. Make it at home!
- Shirley Temple – this one is a little obvious, but you can always switch out the lemon-lime soda (or gingerale) for carbonated water to cut the sweetness a bit. Make it at home!
- Nojito (or a Virgin Mojito) – This one is a refreshing mix of mint, lime juice, sugar and carbonated water. Make it at home!
- Virgin Bay Breeze – This is just a mix of pineapple juice and cranberry juice, sometimes also a splash of grenadine. Make it at home!
Refreshing Infused Water
It’s easy to get bored with water, but there are lots of ways you can spruce it up and make it feel more decadent and taste more delicious. Lots of these recipes use coconut water as a base, which is even more hydrating – perfect for us AZ mamas.
