Today we’re sharing five date night ideas for local taprooms around the East Valley.
These taprooms are quick date ideas that you can show up casually, without a lot of fuss, for a simple day date, happy hour or date night with your spouse.
Also, taprooms offer a more budget friendly date since typically there isn’t food–so if you’re in a season of watching a budget but still want a little fun, this is our favorite hack.

Hair of the Dog on Pecos and Lindsey is a dog-friendly taproom that serves both beer and wine. They have don’t serve food in house but they often host food trucks and you can always BYO Food. Daily happy hour is open – 6 p.m. and all day on Sundays, plus they have trivia nights. –Contributor Jackie
Pour Winebar and Taproom on Ellsworth and Guadalupe offers soo many good beverages including Froze (a rose wine slushy) and mead, plus beer and wine. They’re locally owned and the bartenders are so nice! They also have an impressive to-go selection of more than 80 beers, if you’re planning ahead for an at-home date night, it’s got a fun selection to bring something fun home! –Contributor Andrea
Goldwater Brewing on McDowell and Recker in Mesa. Great beers, friendly staff and you can BYO food. They got insta-famous for their Widdle Wadder beer (IYKYK for Toyota 4-Runner owners), but truly all their beers are great. They also just launched a trivia night midweek as well on Tuesdays at 6 p.m.. –Chief Curator Amy
Chupacabra Taproom in downtown Mesa. Mesa’s longest running taproom serving 32 beers on tap plus local Arizona wines. This is perfect if you’re a wine girlie and your husband wants beers. The space is small, so on the weekends, it gets pretty busy! We love to start here for a dine around through downtown Mesa –Contributor Cara
Beer Barn
in Epicenter. If you’re a nondrinker (pregnant or otherwise), this is the best taproom to still have a fun n/a drink while your spouse enjoys a local beer. Impressive, unique selection of N/A beers and drinks, Beer Barn is located at Epicenter near Agritopia.
