The Arizona Renaissance Festival is here, and is a lot of fun for the whole family! If you are looking for an event filled with action, food and fun, the festival has many options for you.
I had the pleasure of going with my family, and each of my 3 daughters had a great time!
The minute we entered the gates, we were bombarded by lively music, concession stands of food and some pretty flowered crowns caught our eye….every little girl’s dream! We had to pick out just the right one before going on to discover the rides and jousting tournament!
After riding a few rides, it was time to dive into the food….we tried the pretzels, s’mores on a stick, and our favorite: roasted corn! There was also an abundance of drinks, turkey legs and other desserts like chocolate-dipped cheesecake.
Once we greeted some of the many “characters” that were walking around, we stopped to watch a live fire/magic show, some bagpipers and also this artist decorate leather butterflies. My kids were so amazed at how he decorated each one by hand!
After the big jousting tournament, we made our way to the petting zoo where there was a variety of animals we could pet and feed. I was busy feeding the animals with my kids, so I didn’t grab a shot, but trust me, they were a lot of fun.
As we made our way to the exit, we grabbed a family picture and a turkey leg for the road. Everyone at the Arizona Renaissance Festival was so nice and worked hard to make it feel authentic. Many workers had accents and dressed in an array of outfits. The kids had a lot of fun too, and we are glad we had a chance to experience it!
