Today we’re reviewing Village Camp Flagstaff, a resort property 15 minutes from downtown Flagstaff that offers tiny cabins and luxury RV spots.
We recently stayed in their Aspen Cabin for two nights while in Flagstaff for the North Pole Experience during the holidays and it was an incredible homebase for families spending time in Flagstaff.

Where is Village Camp Flagstaff?
Village Camp Flagstaff is 15 minutes from downtown Flagstaff, but once you’re on property you feel nestled in the national forest. The property is very easy to find–just a few turns off the I-40. Although it’s next to the national forest, the roads are fully paved and any vehicle can get there, unlike some of the other forest glamping experiences we’ve stayed in.
What family-friendly amenities are at Village Camp Flagstaff
The property is a family paradise. Once you arrive onsite, you don’t have to leave! Truly, once we arrived on property, we didn’t leave the site until checkout, two nights later.
My four-year-old son loved the onsite playground. There’s also a seasonal pool (and year round hot tub) that are great energy burners for kids.
There’s an incredible, luxury clubhouse that we went to daily to play board games by the fire. Inside the clubhouse there’s also a bistro and bar; it was nice to “go” somewhere without leaving the property–we could easily walk back to our cabin within 2 minutes. Other clubhouse amenities include a general store, large games like foosball and ample seating.
Rental cabins at Village Camp Flagstaff
We stayed in the aspen cabin rental, but there’s six different cabin options to choose from. Each has different offerings, from kid-friendly lofts to kitchen offerings, but ours slept four, had a loft and a kitchenette and outdoor propane grill.
The cozy cabin had everything we needed for a two night stay. Nightly, we’d use the propane fire pit private to our cabin to end the evening (be sure to pack s’mores fixings).
Dining at Village Camp Flagstaff
We packed meals that could be done easily in a kitchenette, and brought our own crockpot (and Citrus Pear meals!). When traveling with kids, I highly recommend hands-off crockpot meals to help save money on dining out and as a timesaver to avoid time cooking on vacation.
Daily we would head to the clubhouse to the bistro and bar for snacks and drinks for happy hour while we played board games and hung out, but having the ability to cook meals in the cabin is a great budget hack for family travel.
