8 Awesome Outdoor Gifts for Kids

GO--MOM-8AwesomeOutdoorGiftsforKids_EVMoms (1)I love when the weather cools down and I can lovingly tell my kids “Go play outside!” With Christmas just around the corner, I’ve been pinning gift ideas and adding far too many to my Amazon wishlist. But, I realized that none of my children’s gift ideas were outdoor friendly, let alone gifts that would promote outdoor play.

So, I got to searching and rounded up a list of unique, fun, and cool outdoor gifts that will help our kids take advantage of the cooler weather all season long.

Beanbag toss. This is an easy to set-up game that can be used outdoors or moved indoors just as easily when weather doesn’t cooperate.

Balance Blok. I just discovered this product that allows you to create an indoor balance beam in the shape of a square for your kids. I love this and think it could be great for sensory kids and those in occupational therapy too.

Go Pedal. Think of this delightful toy as a cross between a bike and a scooter that also helps your kids learn coordination and balance all while improving strength. A great price too! I think I’m adding it to my list.

Tsunami Street Glider. This bad boy is for all the, well, bad boys in your life. Any daredevil 8 year old and up boys on your list? This “extreme vehicle” is a safer alternative to a skateboard with hand brakes for extra safety and speed control. Add a helmet and let the racing begin.

Disk Golf. Did you know disk golf is a worldwide phenomenon? Who knew? Well, now you can enjoy the craze in your own backyard. Easy to setup and fun for the whole family–this set is a great way to get started.

Super Swingball. Does anyone remember tetherball? I was tetherball champion in 4th grade, a title I have proudly carried since. Well, swingball is a combination of tetherball and tennis–high energy, fun for all ages, and pretty addicting. It also travels really easily!

Rainbow Tri Climber. Do you have a climber on your hands? I sure do. He’s four and he’s relentless. The tri climber, made with nylon rope and smooth metal rungs, attaches easily to any tree and lets two kids climb at a time.

Balance Teeter Popper. This award winning toy lets kids pop, roll, sit, balance, rock, and more. It’s unlike any toy I’ve seen and I really dig it. It helps with strength, balance, coordination, and gross motor skills.

With any of these fun toys, our kids can stay active, enjoy our winter weather, and have fun all at the same time. And you can send them outside to play all day long! Rejoice! And repeat!
