Relaxation. It’s a word that not many moms have in their vocabulary anymore. Between school drop off and pick up, carting kids off to sports, running to the grocery store, cooking dinner and keeping the house clean, the closest we usually get to relaxing is catching a quick power nap while we wait in the pickup line at school.
The Founders of East Valley Moms Blog and four lucky mommas (Michelle, Jamie, Randee and Elizabeth) recently got to enjoy some relaxation time (for real!) at our mobile spa party, courtesy of Danica LePorte with Divine Life Spas by BeautiControl.
The party kicked off with some yummy snacks and drinks. After a little mingling and munchies, we started off with mini manis. Danica had us try the Spa Manicure Scrub and Repair Hand Crème. My hands were so soft and smooth afterwards. In fact, my hubby was so jealous he tried it for himself and loved it too!
Then we moved onto the fun part-facials! We kicked it in my family room and Danica walked us through not only how to properly wash our faces (scrub up ladies!) but some ahhh-mazing facial products that felt great. My personal favorites were the Tierra Azul Thermal Fango Masque and the Spa Nourishing Eye Pads. Tierra Azul Thermal Fango Masque is a warming masque and really made my face look brighter and feel softer. The Spa Nourishing Eye Pads have cucumber in them and helped reduce puffiness around my eyes and felt fresh and cool.
Danica also taught us some breathing techniques to help us relax and while we enjoyed the Spa Nourishing Pads on our tired eyes, she treated us each to a cute pair of socks that we wore while the Spa Pedicure Cooling Foot Salve worked its magic to soften our heels and feet. Danica also gave each of us a hand massage.
If you are looking for a fun, relaxing day or evening with the girls but don’t have the money to go to the spa, then a mobile spa party is definitely something you should try. We had a blast and I can’t wait to try my new Spa Resurface Microderm Apeel and Professional Skin Care Tool that I bought at the party. Here’s to locking myself in my room for a little in-home spa getaway every weekend and telling the kids, “If you need something, go ask your dad!”
