Make It Monday- Mason Jar Snow Globes

0

I am always looking for Christmas crafts to do with my kids. This is one of my favorite projects because it is not only fun for them but they turn out beautiful, and we keep them from year to year.

Here is what you need:

-wide neck mason jars (or any jars in variety of sizes)
-water proof glue (MAKE SURE IT IS WATER PROOF)
-figurines
-glitter
-distilled water
-glycerin (found it as Sprouts)

1. Begin by gluing your figurines to the tops of your jars with the water proof glue. Let cure for at least 24 hours. *This is so important. Your water will be murky and the figures will fall off if you don’t let it cure.

2. Once your figures have cured fill your jars with distilled water leaving 1/4″ at the top. Add about 1/2 tsp liquid glycerin to the water. Add glitter to the water, about 1/2 tsp. Add some glue to the rim of the jar and place your lid on top. Screw on the lid casing and flip for a snowy wonderland. My kids love making these and they are so simple. These kid created decorations will bring the magic of Christmas to your home.
