Car Seat Education with Gilbert Fire and Rescue

Gilbert Fire & Rescue is committed to keeping families safe. Statistics show 3 out of 4 car seats are not installed correctly.

Our Car Seat Technicians are specially certified to educate citizens on how to properly install their car seats. Technicians will not only help with installation, they will make sure citizens leave with the knowledge on how to install their child’s car restraint on their own in the future.

Please do not stop at a fire station for assistance with your car seat. Our firefighters are not car seat certified and can not assist with installation.

See the list below for important information regarding our clinics:

• Must be a Gilbert resident and bring proof of residency.
• Please only bring ONE vehicle per family.
• Must bring the owner’s manual for both your car seat and your vehicle.
• Please read the manual for your child restraint before appointment.
• Please install your child restraint before coming to the car seat clinic. We need to make sure it is compatible with your vehicle and ensure a proper fit. Online installation videos are available for your child restraint.
• Please make sure your vehicle has room for both the technician and yourself to climb in and out of your vehicle.
• As a courtesy, if you or your child are sick we request that you reschedule your appointment.
