I have been SO EXCITED to tell everyone about an awesome product that I have had the uttermost privilege to try out for the last month. This fabulous product was from a company called Safe Ride and a few weeks ago, a lucky follower also won one of their ‘car seat’ vests.
I don’t know about each of you, but I know in my situation of having 5 kids, 4 of which need to be in various booster to car seats, space is a premium in my vehicle. I have a larger SUV and it still is very difficult to fit three of those honking booster seats in a single row and still be able to close the door. So, if you find yourself in a similar situation of plenty of car seatbelts for your little ones but you still can’t fit them all in without some amazing Fedex packing skills, this may very well be a solution for you as well.
Pros:
1. Space SAVER, I cannot emphasize this enough
2. The seat belt stays in the right place all the time. No more flipping the seat belt behind the head for my kiddo.
3. It’s Comfy!!!
4. It’s compact! Kids not in the car? I can now fold the back seat down for my bigger bulk shopping without the horrible car seat/booster seat juggle!!! (another plus, I cannot emphasize enough)
5. For those of you that have one car drop off kids at school but someone picks up, this vest goes with your child! It fits easily into their backpack or hangs on the classroom coat rack. If you worry about cost, this vest is about the same price as two inexpensive car seats and you only have to buy one!! (Plus, think easy seat for Grandma’s Car)
6. Awesome to have in the car for that unexpected child that also needs a carseat/booster.
7. My little test subject loves it.
8. The safety rating. Really, I feel safer with my child in the vest then in the booster seat.
Cons:
1. It takes a little time to get mastered, and let’s admit very few of us like change.
2. I only have one and I have 3 kids who want to use it.
3. Since they sit lower in the seat, my smaller child has a harder time seeing out the window.
Please check out their website at http://saferide4kids.com/ and check out this really fabulous kid’s safety seat option!
Thank you Safe Ride 4 Kids for the opportunity to check out your great product!
