Not sure about you but I LOVE the Fourth of July! So in honor of a fav holiday I thought it would be fun to do a lil’ DIY. Stars & Stripes Shirts!
We got the whole family involved.
What you need:
- Cotton T-shirts
- Fabric Paint – I got mine from Hobby Lobby (they have fabric spray paint as well, but I opted to use paint that we could brush on.)
- Foam Brushes
- Painters Tape
- Stickers – stars or you could use hearts or you could cut out shapes from your tape or card stock.
Kids can definitely use some help with the taping portion. Make sure to place something inside the shirt to avoid the paint bleeding through. We used plastic place mats & card stock.
Make sure to place your tape & stickers down firmly to avoid paint going underneath.
For our youngest I opted for the handprint design instead of the stars. Takes less time & is perfect for that not so patient member of the family. 🙂
Tape off your stripes & paint. Make sure to remove tape soon after painting.
And Ta-Da!!! Cuteness!!!
