This Gilbert family fitness center and yoga studio offers weekend Zumba Glow, sports and yoga-themed birthday parties for ages 2 and up. Trails are accessible from 48th St. & Guadalupe and Desert Foothills Parkway & 6th St. Picnic areas and ramadas are vehicle accessible from the other side of the South Mountains at 10919 S. Central Ave.
World’s largest municipal park 16,500 acres featuring city views, petroglyphs, 300 specimens of plant life, rabbits, foxes, coyotes, snakes, lizards and birds. Also, activity complex, Hiking, Riding Trails, Interpretive Center, Lookouts, Museum, Natural Features, Ramada and Picnic Area, Ranger Station, Restrooms
South Mountain became a City of Phoenix park in 1924. Many citizens including Carl Hayden bought 13,000 acres from the Federal Government for $17,000. In 1935 the National Park Service developed a master plan for the park that included riding and hiking trails, picnic areas and overlooks.
The highest point on South Mountain is Mount Suppoa which reaches 2,690 feet. It is not accessible to the public. Dobbin Lookout which is 2,330 feet high is the highest point accessible by trail.
Open on Saturdays from 8am-12:30pm. They often bring in food trucks and have up to 40 regular vendors depending on the season.

After a major renovation project, Riverview is now home to the Cubs Spring Training Facility, Sloan Park, and the park itself has been transformed into a premier recreation destination.
