Thanksgiving Leftovers Made Over

Repurpose those Thanksgiving leftovers - how to make the most of your meal! | East Valley Moms Blog

Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. Probably because eating is my favorite activity with cooking coming in at a very close second. I have overseen the meal for our large family for the last 10 years or so and every year, I get more and more excited to plan the menu, prepare the meal, and watch my loved ones enjoy what some might consider an excessive volume-to-person ratio of turkey and side items.

As you can imagine, this abundance of food always means leftovers and lots of them. And though many of our family members are leftover purists and can just reheat and eat to their heart’s content, all those Thanksgiving staples lose a little bit of their wonder for me after the meal is done. BUT I am not about to waste food so…enter the Thanksgiving leftover makeover!

With a little creativity, you can take just about any leftover and turn it into something new and exciting. Not only does this help to re-purpose the food you spent so much time cooking but by proxy, it also extends this wonderful holiday just a bit longer too!
