Sunset Sips at East Mesa’s Newest Wine Bar: June 2021 Mom’s Night Out

Last Saturday night 20 local moms gathered at Falcon Field’s very own wine bar, Flights Wine and Taproom to connect and expand their mom tribe circle.

ICYMI, here at East Valley Moms, we believe the secret to surviving mom life are mom friends, and our Mom’s Night Out events are created with that end goal in mind, and as a way for new-to-the-area moms to discover locally-owned gems!

Moms traveled from Tempe, Apache Junction and Chandler to join us for sunset sips overlooking the runway at Falcon Field Airport. The panoramic windows showcased the planes taking off and landing so wonderfully (and yes, Flights is kid-friendly, if this sounds like something your plane-loving kiddo would love as well!).

Sidenote: Contributor Kira is planning to host her son’s first birthday here at Flights as a private party (her husband is a traffic flight controller, so airplanes are kind of a big deal for the family!)

It was incredible to see the connections created over Moms Night Out, including a few mamas who had met at last month’s event and returned to this month’s event to continue the new friendship between playdates with their kids. I heard a few gals making plans to get pedicures (who had just met!), it made our hearts so happy to see this!

Flights kept the rose pouring freely for us, because it’s summer and what else would we be drinking?

But truly, the wine and beer selections here are impressive, and their staff is even more impressive with their knowledge—they were making recommendations to the moms based on everyone’s preferences and I was pretty blown away with their knowledge of all their offerings.

The taproom also offers hearty appetizers on their menu including a charcuterie board (with fresh honey comb!), veggie flatbreads and more. We challenge you to find a faster way to connect with new friends than over good food and drinks!
