Love My ‘Hood: Eastmark

0

In 2015, my family relocated to Arizona when a great opportunity surfaced within my husband’s company. We started researching the best schools and location to put down roots and settled in Chandler to be in the Hamilton High School boundary.

Leaving our family and friends in Georgia, as well as, moving in the middle of a school year created many challenges for our 4 kids ages 15, 13, 10 and 8. Their ability to adapt and reach outside their comfort zone was tested every day as well as mine.

After getting my family settled, I become a Realtor® which allowed me the opportunity to have a ground level viewpoint of the communities within the East Valley. We loved the schools, public and private parks, sidewalks, and city activities for the kids! Whether at soccer practice or a swim meet I met and talked with many moms about where they lived and what they loved about their community.

When our oldest daughter went off to college, we decided it was time for a move. We wanted a newer home that was affordable, with a community pool and a neighborhood that had a sense of community.

Eastmark checked off all our boxes and then some! We loved the lake, community farm, over 60 parks and 2 full time activity coordinators keep Eastmark engaged daily. They offer different fitness classes, toddler time on Tuesdays, Bible study on Wednesdays, wine groups, book clubs, and are always coming up with ways to meet the community’s needs.

Eastmark offers a variety of housing options at various price points. It has 2 school districts that service our community, Gilbert and Queen Creek Unified School Districts, as well as other charter schools (Basis, ALA, and Sequoa Pathfinders Learning Academy and Preschools). Silver Valley Elementary (K-6) and Eastmark High School (7-12) are brand new to our community. EHS has allotted our 2 younger children unique opportunities they wouldn’t have had being at more established schools.

We feel blessed to have found this pocket in Southeast Mesa that is perfectly located next to Gilbert and Queen Creek with easy access to everything.

Now that we have settled in the Eastmark community, we feel more at home than we ever have thanks, in part, to the great community we now call home.
