Who:   Food & business reporters, fresh food fans and anyone else interested in MAD Greens’ new kids’ offerings.
What:   Calling all awesomely super (and hungry) kids, MAD Greens is proud to reveal its all-new Awesome Box and Super Box kids’ meals now at all five Valley MAD Greens locations. As part of the launch in Arizona, MAD Greens will host a special tasting event alongside local Valley children. Hosted on Saturday, April 16 (3 – 5 pm) at MAD Greens’ 7th Avenue & McDowell location, MAD Greens will invite local kids from the nearby Big Brothers Big Sisters to try the new kids menu and build their own Awesome or Super Box. It’s all part of MAD Greens’ commitment to the communities it serves, including featuring locally sourced ingredients and helping make eating better tastier and more accessible.
“At MAD Greens we know that healthy eating habits starts at an early age,” says MAD Greens Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Marley Hodgson. “We created our new box meals to help make it easier and tastier for all kids – even the pickiest eaters – to get those fresh fruits and veggies that are the building blocks to better nutrition.”
Designed to please even the pickiest young eaters, each mix-and-match Awesome Box and Super Box features a choice of fresh ingredients such as Grilled Citrus Chicken, pasta, edamame, carrot sticks, apples, ranch dip and a kids’ drink – all for $4.95 (12 and under).
Even tastier, MAD Greens will run a special promotion to celebrate the new kids’ boxes: From April 12 – May 31, each child, 12 and under, who comes into MAD Greens with a paying adult will receive a FREE Awesome Box, Super Box or Kids’ Salad + a kids’ milk or juice.
Founded in 2004 with now 21 locations across Colorado, Arizona and Texas, MAD Greens (Facebook.com/madgreens) and Twitter (@madgreens) has built a loyal following for its healthful, ‘crave-able’ and customizable menu, highlighted by gourmet, made-to-order salads topped with premium, farm-fresh and locally sourced ingredients. 3. I would love to win. Got an email they were opening. Yummy and great food and healthy for my kids too. Would love to try out
I would add a variety of vegetables with bright colors for kids to eat 🙂

  4. This is awesome! I’ve been wanting to visit but wasn’t sure if my son would enjoy it. Now we can visit and he can eat for free!

  5. Thank you so much for the recommendation! I went with a friend and our kids for lunch, today, and it was so delicious. I ordered the Siam I Am salad and the Green Detox juice. I like a big salad and am known to polish one off, but this salad was really filling. I gladly took a bit home. When I ordered the juice, the guy warned me that “it tastes like grass.” It is very green tasting with heat from the cayenne, and I loved it. They put it on ice and in a compostable cup. The kids meals are fun, too, and great for picky eaters. They kindly allowed any substitution I wanted. Offering the kids meal free is generous. I appreciate it. I can’t wait to go back and try the other menu items.
