Is the POGO Pass Phoenix Worth it for Tweens/Teens?

0

Today we’re talking about the Pogo Pass Phoenix for tweens and teens. Is this pass still a good investment with older kids?

The short answer here is….ABSOLUTELY!

We have had the POGO Pass now for the past 10 years! That’s right, we’ve renewed the pass every year for the past 10 years. It’s the one pass that we have that never gets old.

While I will say that there are things on there that my teens can’t do anymore, there is enough that they can use that make the pass well worth it still.

Keep reading for our picks on the Pogo Pass Phoenix with teens, how the pass works and an exclusive discount code to get better pricing than what’s listed on the website.

(Here’s our review of the pass for toddlers/preschool families.)

XO,

Monica

Does everyone in your family need a pogo pass?

You do have to purchase the pass for everyone participating, so we get one each for my two boys, my husband and myself.

Tip: Buy 2 extra for your teens friends to come along! We all know that teens want to invite a friend to things, so this is a cheap way to do so!

So we just buy 2 extra passes so we can have someone along!

So for example when we reserve tickets for a Diamondbacks Game, we register all 6 passes and my boys each get to invite a friend along for free!

What is Worth it on the POGO Pass Phoenix for Teens/tweens:

Sunsplash! This venue basically pays for the pass itself. Perfect summer activity for teens and their friends. (Mom math: A day pass to Sunsplash is around $60; at the day of this publish, one pogo pass was $59.)

Arizona Diamondbacks Games! You can register for two games (listed on the pass website) per season. We love Diamondbacks games because you can bring in your own food and drinks! The free batting cages upstairs are also a fun activity to do before for tweens and teens. Here’s our tips for taking tweens/teens to a Dbacks game, too.

Arizona Rattlers Games! You can register for 3 games (listed on the pass website) per season. It’s a little farther (Glendale) but worth the drive for the great experience!

Phoenix Mercury Games! You can register for 4 games (listed on the pass website) per season! These fast paced games really keep the attention and the crowd is always hype!

KTR Chandler and Scottsdale! You get a one, 4 hour visit to each venue every year! Perk of this venue is that you can wear jump socks from anywhere!

Phoenix Rock Gym! You get 2 visits per year. You do have to rent climbing gear for $5 per person. This is an activity to do with a group as you learn to belay your own group.

Rush Xtreme! You get 1 visit per year. You do have to buy their grip socks if you don’t have them already. It’s for 1 hour which you would think would go by fast, but it really doesn’t! The teens are still able to participate in the entire park also which is great! Our favorite is the drop slide!

Golf N Stuff and Tucson RoadRunners in Tucson! You do have to register for the hockey game (listed on the pass website). My advice is to drive down to Tucson in the morning, hit up Golf N Stuff, check into a hotel, attend the hockey game, and then drive up the next day. (Here’s a few more things to do in Tucson with kids.)

*The POGO Pass does have other venues on it, but these are the ones most geared towards our stage of life having teens!

What exactly is the Pogo Pass Phoenix?

A POGO Pass is a unique one-time ticket purchase that gets you at least one admission into a ton of local family attractions around town. POGO Pass is only offered in 6 territory markets, and we are SO lucky that Phoenix is one of them!

The POGO pass is also great because it helps you explore places that you maybe didn’t even know about.
