Hanging with Heroes: A Family Fun Day with Real Life Heros and Superheros from Mesa PD and Mesa Fire

0

Our kids are still talking about our recent family fun day, our Hanging with our Heros event at Mesa Police’s Superstition Station and Mesa Fire’s Station 12.

The day brought together superheroes (Captain America, Spiderman, Wonder Woman and other friends) plus real-life police and firefighting heroes.

We were blown away with how quickly it sold out (THANK YOU!!) and are already planning more events for families who weren’t able to snag tickets to this one.

Kids got close-up views of police, fire, and other emergency transport vehicles at the Mesa Police Department. Full station tours for the police station and jail were fascinating, and all the officers were so great explaining the 738475658 questions every kiddo had for them.

Mesa Fire was on site letting kids “put out fires” with a hose and virtual fire -teaching them all about fire safety.

One of the coolest parts: Kids got to climb in and around cop cars, bomb squad vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, motorcycles, and more. There were a lot of fun Police Officers and Firefighters on site for kids to chat with as well.

As a special added bonus, Enchanted Princess Co. provided superheroes for the kids to meet and visit with.

heroCaptain America, Spiderman, Ghost Spider, and Wonder woman were there for kids to meet and hangout with. They took pictures, shot webs, and answered a million questions. They were so much fun and did a great job in character!

Heart for Art was also on site providing a handful of fun coloring activities while kids waited for their police station tour.

With lots of fun coloring sheets and coloring tools, they were amazing at keeping the kids busy so you didn’t feel like you were waiting AT ALL.

Each attendee also left with a swag bag of fun, thanks to Mesa Fire and Police, including fire hats, slap bracelets, magnets and more.

Plus, a yard card pop up from Cuddly Cactus was the perfect photo opp in front of the Mesa Police Department with Captain America.

25% of all ticket sales were donated to Mesa Police Department’s Pink Patch fundraiser to fight Breast Cancer.

We had so much fun meeting everybody who came out to hang with us—thank you for making our event so much fun!
