Gold Medal Gymnastics {sponsored}

This is a sponsored post for Gold Medal Gymnastics. Although all opinions are my own, I wrote this post in exchange for a trial class.

”Mommy, can I try gynnastics?”

“Mommy, when can I try gynnastics?”

Can you relate to this? My daughter wants to try EVERYTHING. When the opportunity presented itself for her to try Gold Medal Gymnastics, I breathed a sigh of relief thinking if my daughter would just try it, she’d get it out of her system and life would go on. However, they made that pretty impossible with her experience.

Upon arrival, the size of the gym and level of activity was slightly overwhelming. This was no issue for the kids as they are grouped by age appropriate skill level and experience. The entrance area is set up like a little shop with clothing, and a snack bar. Once past the registration counter, the gym is a pretty large space complete with parent seating around the actual gymnastics area. It is also VERY air conditioned (which thinking ahead, I thought “what a great SUMMER activity where I, mom, can stay INDOORS)!

After a quick “bye mom, Im going to go have fun…” and a kiss, Jicelle went on her way. The instructor of the group was really great with the littles. She had them hold hands and trail together to an area where they did some stretching. The instructors were really good about taking them to different age appropriate stations and working with the kids appropriate to their skill level. The instructor engagement was also very attentive, focusing on them one by one through each exercise. I saw Jicelle doing things that I did not think she would or have ever seen her do.

All of the kids and young adults in the gym seemed to be having fun. They all looked as though they were passionate about what they were doing. It was also a very diverse group with all different sizes and skill levels. There looked to be an elite style team as well. Throughout the gym, there are phrases of encouragement on the walls which is a nice added touch. The instructors motivated the kids every step of the way to achieve their potential.

I visited the Chandler location, which is a 25,000 square foot training center, offering recreational competitive and preschool gymnastics as well as cheer and tumbling, Dance and Sports programs. The Chandler location is also home to their Competitive Team Program (Junior Olympic and Xcel). The facility contains three in-ground pits, tumbl trak, and trampolines, 2 spring floors, a special preschool area plus a Dance Studio, Gold Medal Sports Court, lobby and pro shop, ample parent viewing and parking.

If your kids are bugging you to try gymnastics, this is a good place to start. You can visit their website here.
