Bloom 2017: An Event for New & Expecting Moms

East Valley Moms Blog is thrilled to host our 2nd Annual New & Expectant Mom Event! This year’s BLOOM is an event for new and expectant moms that you’re going to love.

We are excited to be partnering with City Moms Blog Network and 50 of our other sister sites to bring local communities this event with an estimated attendance of over 4,000+ moms across the US!

This event is geared towards moms who are currently expecting a baby (whether it’s your 1st or 3rd), had a baby within the last year, foster moms of infants, or are planning on growing their family soon.

My name is Hannah Peterson, mom of four, who is passionate about working with families and helping them teach their little ones how to sleep. I have experience as a Pediatric nurse and a Certified Sleep Consultant working with newborns through to preschoolers. 
I believe that every parent should have the tools to be able to lay a healthy foundation for sleep, no matter what their parenting style (crunchy, breastfeeding, formula fed, attachment parenting, no cry) at the end of the day sleep is a biological necessity and not a luxury.

Natashe Lowe, MD is an OB-GYN at the Banner Health Center in Queen Creek.  She is a complete sports junkie, and her favorite sport is football.  She grew up watching the SEC and the University of Georgia and is also a huge Atlanta Falcons fan.  She also enjoys reading current events, listening to music and reading.  Dr. Lowe will be presenting on prenatal care and preconception.  

Jody is the owner of Nutrition Compass, LLC. She earned her degree in Exercise Science from Minnesota State University – Morehead and a Nutrition degree from Arizona State University. Jody became a Registered Dietitian in 2007. Since then she has furthered her education by becoming a Certified Diabetes Educator and American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist. Jody currently lives in Chandler, AZ with her husband and 2 year old son. Hobbies include: exercise, reading, volunteering, and spending time with friends. Jody has been a contributor with the East Valley Moms Blog since February 2016.

Russell Horton, DO, is a board-certified pediatrician at the Banner Health Center in Queen Creek.  He loves hiking, camping, Ultimate Frisbee, board games cooking, watching movies and spending time with his wife, son and daughter. Dr. Horton will be presenting about What to expect in the fourth trimester: the first three month with baby.

She is an active listener and provides compassionate care, support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address their unique challenges. Outside of session Khara spends time volunteering, working out and visiting the dog parks. You might also find her checking out the latest coffee shops and restaurants.
